Biography

Dr. Pedro A. Jose, MD, PhD, is a renowned physician-scientist whose research focuses on the genetic and pharmacogenetic mechanisms underlying essential hypertension and related metabolic disorders. He earned his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas (Philippines) and his PhD in Physiology from Georgetown University. His work has significantly advanced understanding of renal dopamine receptors and their role in blood pressure regulation. Dr. Jose has published hundreds of scientific articles, received numerous awards for his contributions to hypertension research, and mentors students and researchers internationally.
